Welcome to KDW's first Blog! Please feel free to comment. We'd love to hear from you.
Our work in re-designing the Student Commons Area in "R" block of Toowoomba Campus at the University of Southern Queensland transformed a cold, dreary 70's space into a comfortable, relaxing area.
Students are loving the sunken zone, a recognition of the 70's "conversation pit", with brightly coloured soft cushioning & bean bags for quiet coffee breaks, study or group meetings. You can view more images in our education & childcare design gallery.
In the office environment, this same concept is now available in a completely mobile system, designed to connect employees and promote active communication.
We are excited about using the KURVE system from Zenith Interiors in a large office design for one of our clients. They are happy to say goodbye to traditional spaces which separate and segregate workers and move forwards in a new age of integration. Great work!
Danish-designed but manufactured here at home, the KURVE can be moved into various configurations to make a space feel more private: there's lots of different ways we can use it. Power and data are easily catered for. We love the mobility factor.
The KDW Team.
