KDW DESIGN CHRISTMAS

Happy Christmas to all from us at KDW DESIGN!
Even though we have lots to do before closing day next Thursday, we are cutting through the load in a bright and cheerful workplace with a few office-made decs.

 Big jobs, Little jobs:
Retail projects for Westfield out to tender, medical and dental surgeries being designed, two large office projects being documented and just beginning… a new exciting restaurant project!

Furniture schedules and deliveries for private clients in time for the holiday season.
Life at KDW is never dull!

When there’s time to daydream, let’s head for the great outdoors................

.........................and to new designs in outdoor furniture and fabrics.

Loops, Lines and Curves…
striking powdercoated colours are now the thing!

Christmas colours and more!
Relax in a new dining environment.

These indoor / outdoor chairs fromTait and Zenith have so much allure in both residential and commercial environments
Here's a great tool we use for immediate effect...............  Instantly create separate spaces:
Screen an area, make a vertical garden with these interlockable modules from Tait.
With our without plants, it’s a striking effect.
So many uses: Office, Courtyard, Foyer, Balcony – almost anywhere

Let's stay outdoors to see what's new in fabric technology..

Durable, Sustainable, Fade & Mould Resistant.
We love these from Mokum in a great range of pattern and colour.
Some even Christmas inspired!

So, that's it for 2011. To our valued clients and blog readers, Happy Christmas, Happy Holidays and our very best wishes for a happy 2012.

OFFICE & EDUCATION MEETING SPACES

Welcome to KDW's first Blog!  Please feel free to comment. We'd love to hear from you.

Our work in re-designing the Student Commons Area in "R" block of Toowoomba Campus at the University of Southern Queensland transformed a cold, dreary 70's space into a comfortable, relaxing area.

Students are loving the sunken zone, a recognition of the 70's "conversation pit", with brightly coloured soft cushioning & bean bags for quiet coffee breaks, study or group meetings.  You can view more images in our education & childcare design gallery.

In the office environment, this same concept is now available in a completely mobile system, designed to connect employees and promote active communication.

We are excited about using the KURVE system from Zenith Interiors in a large office design for one of our clients. They are happy to say goodbye to traditional spaces which separate and segregate workers and move forwards in a new age of integration. Great work!

Danish-designed but manufactured here at home, the KURVE can be moved into various configurations to make a space feel more private: there's lots of different ways we can use it. Power and data are easily catered for. We love the mobility factor.

The KDW Team.
